movies on the (GreenHouse) lawn?

hey, so I know that the general consensus is that we shouldn't have a TV in our house, and I agree. BUT, I do think offering movies to the campus is a good way to get more people over to see us. SO, what if we could somehow get a hold of a projector and a large screen (or white bed sheet) so that we could watch movies in our front or back yard? What are your ideas on this?

i think thats a good idea. most people like the drive-in movie feel. and whereas having a t.v. would lead to a lot of wasted time, having a projector for movies could offer more of a social aspect.

I think this would be cool, but we should make sure it is legal. If I am not mistaken, you are not supposed to have public viewings of copy-righted movies, regardless of people paying or not. That being said, if it is something the administration/student life is alright with then I would def. be all for it.
We would also need to be careful about noise violations considering how close we are to married couple housing. Or whatever house that is beside the house.

its legal if we make it a school related event, like have a professor lead a discussion afterwards or have profs tell their classes they have to go for extra credit or something. it can't just be, show up and watch a movie! There has to be something educational about it.

Actually, Bentley's right...even if it's educational, we have to pay in order to show a movie. This isn't totally out of the questions...we could cosponsor with the LLC in order to show a movie. We just have to decide if that's how we and the LLC want to spend money
